Edit Set Window
The Edit Set Window gives you an overview of the entries in the set and allows
you to view the entries in a list format. You may also edit the set as a whole
by using various features in the "Set" menu and move entries.
Summary of Window Features: To edit an individual entry double-click
on it. This will open the Add Entries Window.
To move entries, click on the entry and press the "up" or "down"
arrow keys (You may have to hold the shift key down while doing so, depending
on the interface preferences). To modify the set
in other ways, delete items, remove duplicates, etc. do so with the "Edit
Set List" menu in the "Set" menu.
Each of the features of the window are explained in more detail below:
- One click on the entries may show the comment for that entry if you have
activated that feature in the preferences.
- Double-clicking an entry will open the Add Entry window to edit that entry.
- To move entries, use the "up" and "down" arroykeys,
perhaps with the "shift" key held down (depending on the preferences)
in order to change the ordering of the entries in the list.
- You may delete items by choosing "Delete Item" from the "Edit
Set List" menu in the "Set" menu. Other features in this menu
include "Remove Duplicates" to remove doubles in your set, changing
of comments in bulk by selecting multiple entries, creation of new sub-lists
containing only the selected entries, and inserting blanks into a delegated
field (useful if your entries are not in sync and one field is one or more
entries out of line with the rest).
- You may paste in full entries with the use of the various "Special
Paste" features in the "Edit" menu. If you have tab or other
delimited material, simply use one of the special paste items to paste these
entries in. You may also directly paste one or more entries from the freeware
MacJDic Japanese dictionary program.
