JSFlash is a JavaScript based web-application
for practicing flashcards. Its features include support
for 2, 3, or 4 fields of information on the card, the
ability to control which fields are visible on the "front"
and "back" of the flashcards, self-scoring,
the option to display the last flashed entry, and a feature
allowing continual review until all entries have been
flashed and marked "correct".
The script will be an integral part of
future releases OWLS software and
will serve as the engine for a web-based version of the
award-winning Flashcard Wizard. This web based version
of Flashcard Wizard (JavaScript and PHP), including its
advanced "interval study" features is being
developed concurrently with Flashcard Wizard 2.0 for Mac
OS X.
The script can be used in a number of
ways. First, students can directly edit the script to
flash the entries they wish to practice. Alternatively,
the script can become part of more advanced software packages
(such as OWLS).
Keep a watch on this page for demos of
the script and a section for practicing flashcards from
the Fool's Workshop set library directly on the page.
If you find it useful and wish to support
further development of the project and the hosting of
this and other projects at this site, please consider
making a donation.
