A BAD ACCIDENT

occurred yesterday afternoon around 4 o’clock out by Arildsløkken, when a southbound freight train, which left this town at 4.10, ran over an approx. 40 years old construction worker by the name of Markus Holm.  The man, who was working on transporting gravel when the accident occurred ended up underneath the machine and was very badly mutilated.  The train returned to Skandsen station with the man’s desouled body, later it was taken to the hospital mortuary.    Holm leaves behind a wife and 7 children, only one of whom is confirmed.  The other 6 are ages 1-13.  The family, who lives in the old lasareth building at Ilen are in deep despair at having lost its provider so suddenly and in such a horrible manner.  Its financial circumstances are, as one can expect not very good.

I think the reason for pointing out that only one of the 7 children is “confirmed” is the fact  that once children were confirmed they were considered adults and able
