Kjære Broder

Kun nogle ord som en Julehilsen, formodentlig faar du ikke dette brev heller  Jeg tænkte at det er bedre og skrive Engelsk for da kan det lettere passere censuren.

We are all well at present, having fine weather & Moonlight Xmas.  I am still working at “The Harbour arrangements” and making good Money, but toke about Money now the question is Food, of course we been having some yet, but I suppose its going to be smaller rations yet, so you understand that I wouldn’t object if you could send me a “bag” of “Flour” haha.  I hope you are all well, are you still at the same business?  Jertine had goten letter from you.  Our brothers & Sisters here are very well.  Don’t forget to greet Sis. Anna from me, also Oians (Oiens? Øians?) too.  I suppose no use write any more hard telling if you ever get it.  I am certainly anxious to hear from you soon  Will close with best wishes for a happy New Year to you from The girls Wife & Myself

Dear Brother

Just a few lines as a Christmas greeting, you probably wont receive this letter either.  I thought it would be better to write in English because then it will get through the censor more easily.  (The rest is written in English):
